OBJECTIVE: to understand how criminal laws have evolved over time to adapt to social, cultural, and technological changes. This allows us to analyse trends in criminal legislation and understand how legal norms have developed to effectively address crimes in today’s society. METHOD: the methodology used is based on the inductive and deductive descriptive method, since the planned phenomenon is analyzed as a hypothesis and generalizing the information of the topic that is raised, as well as deriving from the general to the specific. RESULTS: to obtain a deeper and more complete knowledge about the evolution of criminal law, which allows the identification of trends and patterns in criminal legislation over time. This makes it easier to understand how criminal laws have responded to changes in society and how they have adapted to effectively address crimes in an ever-evolving context. CONCLUSION: evolutionary criminal law is that it adapts and changes over time to reflect the needs and values of the society in which it is applied. This implies that criminal laws must be constantly reviewed and updated to ensure that they remain effective and fair in an ever-changing world.
